Post 10: English languaje challenges

My experience learning english in university has been really positive so far. When i entered to this univesity and did the english exam to see which was my english level, i thought i was going to be on level 4, but i turn out to be on level 3 and had to do this two levels. I wasn't really excited about it at first, but now that i'm ending level 4 i'm happy i could improve my english.
I've met good and comprehensive teachers that have teached with patience and entusiasm, even when teaching english anywhere must be really difficult because it's not anyones priority course. I think that that's something that i really liked about the two teachers i met in this year.
About the "blog experience" i must say that i loved it. I didn't gave this activity much importance at first, but once i started doing the blogs i begin to like it a lot, and i even think that besides the fact that we learn to write and express ourselves, it's also a really "therapeutic" experience, at least for me. I really enjoyed writing every blog and i think i learned a lot with it.
I think that in the near future my challenge in english is to improve my writing and my security when talking and expressing myself in english, and i plan to do this by taking another course of english to improve my english and became "professional" on it, because i really enjoy and love english!
English is definitely my second language right now and it's really important for me on a daily basis. The majority of the music that i listen and the series and t.v shows that i see are in english, and that's why i started learning it so easily. All of my favorite famous people come from the United States, so i'm really familiar to this language and i even talk to myself in english all day!
And that was my experience learning english at university! Thank you Alejandro for being so patience and enthusiast with your job! see you soon!

Post 9: Changes to my study programme

Well, this is going to be a large blog for me because i think that my career has A LOT of deficiencies in its infrastructure, teachers and the curriculum, so basically you can  find issues in any possible area.
First of all, theatrical design is a career from the Faculty of Arts, which means that it belongs to one of the poorest and precarious faculties of Universidad de Chile, so we have a really limited budget to suplement the needs from the different departaments that make up this faculty. Starting with that, we can find the first thing that it should be changed, which is the infrastructure. The Faculty of Arts it's divided in three venues, and this affect the students because, for example when we have the transversal courses (for all arts students) we have to move from Santiago Centro to Ñuñoa for taking a single class and then come back to our departaments, and it affects also when we need to make any formalities like sending certificates or anything, because all the administration is centralized on Artes Centro, and not divided in all the venues. Also from the infrastructure part, in the departament of theater we have really insuficient tools for our learning. The venue is really small and old, and we're mixed with acting students who needs a lot of space for practicing and moving around, so it's really uncomfortable for us, because we need silence to be concentrated in our classes. Also our classrooms have old and damaged chairs and tables (that are actually brought from other faculties that have throw them away) and are small for the quantity of students that needs to be working in big mock-ups for example.
Well, i could be hours talking about this, but that's not the idea.
i'm going to finish this blog by saying that the workload of my major programme should be less demanding and leave us more time to do the jobs we take home (that are massive) and also should be more integrative between the different subjects that we have (which are at least 10 per semester) because otherwise is really hard to keep up, and live a healthy life at the same time.

Post 8: Personal opinions

What is your opinion about legalizing abortion in some cases?
I think abortion is not something anybody should be discussing about. In my opinion abortion should be legal in every possible case and it should be guaranteed and financed by the government to provide a secure and safe way to interrupt an unwanted pregnancy whatever the reasons are. This is something that actually happens almost all around the world, but here in Chile we have certain people and authorities (mostly man) that believe that is more important to "save" the "life" of the "children" instead of protecting the psychological and physical integrity of a women who doesn't want to continue with her pregnancy, but at the same time they wouldn't take care of that children when it's grown up, so it's really illogical.

What is your opinion about the Chilean tradition called “mechoneo”?
I think the Chilean tradition "mechoneo" it's a really stupid and unnecessary tradition that should be eradicated or at least rethought. In my opinion having a tradition to welcome students it's not a bad idea and there are plenty of ways to introduce new students to university that can be kind and fun, but i don't think that humiliating and hurting them is the best way.

What is your opinion about legalizing marijuana and other drugs?
The consumption of natural and synthetic drugs is a reality that can´t be ignored and because of that i think that it should be legalized and regulated by the corresponding authorities to prevent problematic consumption and the selling of bad quality drugs. Behind the production and distribution of drugs there are other problems between sellers and police that have ended with thousands of deaths and destruction and i don't think this is a problem that will end by prohibiting because right now it's like that and nothing has changed.

What is your opinion about killing stray dogs to prevent sanitary problems and animal over population?
I think there are better ways to prevent sanitary problems and animal population than killing them, like creating refugees and institutions that regulate the responsable care of animals. If the governments where more strict with laws that punish abandonment and irresponsable holding (not esterilize, adopting and abandoning, etc) then at least people would be afraid and would take more seriously the lives of animals. In my opinon we should treat animals the same way we treat humans, and as far as i know there is not such thing as killing homeless people.

Post 7: sports

I have practiced many sports in my life because i love playing, training and competing. I've always had a great relation with sports because both my mother and father have always been related with practicing (my mom more than my dad) so they passed that to me and i've always loved it and when i'm not practicing any physical discipline i start to get really upset and annoyed, it changes my mood completely. I have my bestfriend also that love practicing sports so we have been team partners in some ocassions, so im really related with it.
When i was like 7 years old or maybe less than that, my mother introduce me and my sister to "ballet". She signed us to the Municipal Theater, which i think it must be the best place for learning this difficult discipline, but i remember that we didn´t last longer in there because it was a really hard discipline, and we didn´t had what i was needed to training it (but i would have loved to mantain that in my life) Then i discovered artistic gymnastics with my bestfriend from infance, and we started to train when were like 8 or 9 years old and we stayed there for at least 2 years, first on the Mayor Stadium in Peñalolen and then on the Club Providencia. After sometime i started to feel kind of uncomfortable with my teacher and finally my friend and i quit from that, but i always liked it and i will be forever regret of not mantaining that discipline in my life, even though i haven't forget what i've learned.
At 13 year old i changed from a really little school to a massive one (liceo experimental manuel de salas) and there i met Volleyball, from a lot of possibilities for sports to train and i fell in love with it. I'm a really competititve person and i make a lot of effort to be a good sports player so i dedicated to that and ended up being part of the volleyball selection of my schoool with who i compited for at least 3 years, from 15 to 18 years old. And when i graduate from school i kept training volleyball on the university, specifically on the faculty of architecture and urbanism where i was studying geography. I continued compiting with them on the volleyball selection, competing against the other university faculties and we won some matches but then when i quit geography i left volleyball and never played it again.
Well this post is waaay to large so i must stop right now haha but i have to say that i also did figure skating one year when i was 18, and i also trained circus (trapeze and achrobatics) on 2016. I also love yoga, pilates, and many more.
That's me making a rivet

Here i'm on my final presentation of trapeze

They are one part of my volleyball team

This was my volleyball team when we won a tournament

Post 6: Post graduate studies

In the future i would like to do a documentary course because i love documentarys and investigations and i've always wanted to do documentarys, that's one of the reasons why i have thought about studying journalism. I haven't done many research about it, cause i haven't even decided what i want to study yet, but i've heard that theres is a magister in the "ICEI" the communication and image institute of Universidad de Chile. I've always dreamed of doing my studies or post graduate studies in a different country because i love travelling and learning different languages, and i was born in France so it has always been my dream to study and live there. Also in Europe there is a huge culture around arts, so the theatrical design there is a really respected and well taken career, and it'w way more developed than what we have in Chile, so i would also love to do some studies about that on Germany or Spain maybe, and in order to do that i would like to spend at least a year out studying.

Post 5: my future job

This might be the hardest post to write for me so far because i'm the most indecisive person and i haven't even decide if i'll continue studying what i'm studying right now. Right now i love a lot of different jobs, and i haven't decide which would be my dream job yet or what i would like to be doing in the future, but i'm going to tell some of the jobs i imagine myself working on.
Somedays i like office works where i imagine myself reading and searching information and writing about it, like a journalist, but then i imagine myself as a nutricionist or a kinesiologist attending people and trying to help them, especially on the sports area, cause i love sports and physic work. But i'm also really interested in the circus world, where i would love to be working as a theatrical designer (the career i'm actually studying) or even as a circus artist/performer, so i have many options for the future that i haven't decided yet, cause i can literally imagine myself working in all the things i just mentioned.
When i was on school i've always imagined myself on an indoor work, working in an office, but when i entered to the university i expanded my mind and started to realize that i really loved nature a lot, and i even thought about the posibility of studying eco-tourism. But then when i started to train circus disciplines and  began to love the art and the body work, so i wanted to  be dedicated to circus and i imagined myself living from that.
I would love to have a jog where i'm able to travel a lot, that is something i'm always trying to do, and theatrical design has a lot of that, if you are good in what you do. And about the salary, i have to admit i would love to have a huge salary haha, because i love expensive stuff, but it's not something that i'm really pasionate about, because if it was like that, i would probably be doing something to have a lot of money, but it's not mi priority, the priority is to do something that makes me feel happy and comfortable.

Post 4: Studying theatrical design

I`m a very indecisive person so when i had to choose wich career i wanted to study it was quite a difficult decision for me. When i was in school i had a very closed mind on what careers i was suposed to study: i wanted to be a lawyer. But when time passed i started changing my mind and see the posibilities. I started liking journalism, geography, cinema and i found it really hard to decide. Eventually i decided to study Geography but left the career after a few months cause it wasn't what i really wanted. After leaving geography i started training circus (trapeze and acrobathics) cause it was a dream i've always had and i fell in love with it and started training daily. But the social and family preassure made me had to choose a university career to sudy and that's when i found theatrical design as a possibility to be close to circus. I've always knew this career existed because it was my father's dream career, he's frustrated dream, so he was always pushing me to study it and i fell for the preassure.
Universidad de Chile is the only university that imparts this career in Chile, so i didn't thought about studying it on another university, besides, my father is a teacher from the university so i have a discount on the price and i really wanted to be in this university instead of another.
My experience so far has been full of stress. I didn't knew much about the dynamic of the career until i was on it, and it's actually a really hard and demandant career, where we have a really full schedule from 8:30 or 10:00 am to 6 pm everyday, withouth any "windows" on the schedule and having to do many works on our houses for the day after, it's really stressfull. Besides, the building is really "poor", little and with not much equipments, which eventually starts to take your motivation away from wanting to be there. We have to be really passionate about it to handle this conditions. But the career is beautiful, i've learned really fun and interesting things, i know how to design an escenary, how to manufacture clothes and do makeups and many more things.
My favorite subject has been the theorical ones, cause i have a lot of practical subjects, and my favorite one has been history of modern and contemporary arts cause i love doing researchs and learn and write about history. And the most significant thing i've learned till now has been manufacturing clothes and doing lights (control the lights).

Post 3: My pets

I have a really special relationship with animals and pets because i have had many many pets in my life and i consider myself an "animalista" (i couldn't find the translation for this word). For this same reason is that i turned into a vegan diet and lifestyle three years ago, so i don't eat, wear or use anything that has been made from anything related to animals. I don´t drink milk, eat eggs or meat, wear fur or leather, and don't use any cosmetics that have animal ingredients or have been tested on animals.
Since i was a little girl i've always rescued dogs and cats from the street and then keep them or give them in adoption. I live on a house with a spacious garden so i have always had at least 3 dogs on my house. I've even had 5 dogs and 2 cats at the same time in one period of my life, so that's why i have a really close relationship with animals. Besides, when i was little i created an "ong" with my friends for rescuing cats and dogs that were left on the streets and we gave them food, home, all the cares they needed, and we even sterilize them to control the massive amount of animals that we have on the streets.
In my life at least 20 dogs and 10 cats have passed in my house for long or short periods of time, and right now i have 2 dogs that were rescued from the streets (one of them we found it with "sarna") and we also have another dog that was a gift from a friend, and a cat that i adopted from a girl that was giving him on the street. My dogs names are Dino, Estrella and Puki, and my cat is called Lulo and for me he is a "model cat" cause he looks like the cats from the comercials.

Post 2: The best holiday ever

I've had some really exciting and fun holidays in my life, but if i have to choose the best one so far, i would choose the trip that i made last year to Europe.
I have an aunt and two cousins who live in Madrid, Spain, and last year we were told that they where going to return to live to Chile, so when i heard that, i decided that i wanted to visit them before they came back to Chile, so i could stay with them there and have a tour of the city with them too. When the first semester of my career ended, i was exhausted, but i was really happy because i passed all my subjects, so my parents as a regard, gave me the tickets to fly to Madrid for one week, and other from Madrid to Paris, to be there another week at my fathers friends house who lives in Paris. It wasn´t my first time on those countries so i wasn´t afraid of going on my own, and i wasn´t going to be completely alone, because i also had two friends in Paris and my family on Madrid. In total, i went to Europe for 2 weeks.
Once i got there i tried to use my time to the fullest. I went to every museum i could on both cities (like the louvre, the reina sofia museum, caixa forum museum, Orlay museum, and many more) and to every attraction i was told to go, such as the tour eiffel, the gran via street, puerta del sol, parque del retiro, notre dame, the Seine and more that i don't remember in this moment. And visiting all of this places was amazing because they're beautiful, but also it was really exciting because i already visited them when i was little and i remember them differently, so it was such a cool experience being there again but with different eyes.
I chose this experience in particular because it was my first trip on my own, and to the places i always dreamed to visit again, after i visited them with only 12 years old, and i had amazing moments with my friends in Paris, we went to a party on a boat on the Seine, we watched the Tour Eiffel lights on the night and we walk all around Paris getting lost in the most beautiful places. It was an amazing experience.

Post 1: A country i'd like to visit

I've traveled a decent amounts of times in my life and that has made me dream to travel more and more all the time, so it's pretty hard for me to choose one country that i would love to visit. But if i had to choose only one country to travel to, i would choose Greece.
A while ago i saw images of Mykonos (one of the islands of Greece) on the internet and i fell in love with the landscapes. I'm a person who loves the beach, the sea and the sun, so when i saw those images showing the cristaline waters of the Greek sea, i instantly loved it. Besides, there's a beautiful and really original architecture that makes some cities really interesenting to look at.
Besides of what i saw on the internet i don't really know much about this country, but for me those beaches worths everything, and i love the meditearranean weather.
In Greece i would love to do a boat or yatch (if i was millionaire haha) tour around the islands and the beautiful sea, i also would like to walk around the city and try the gastronomy, and i don't know, maybe ask and search what are the best things to do there.
It would be really amazing for me to be able to live and study there, cause Greece has a history of ilustrated people and the culture of anarchysm, which i'm interested in. I imagine that this is a really evolved country to study in.
